​Carlton Hotel Singapore's "Go Green, Stay Sustainable" initiative is introduced to minimise our environmental footprint by reducing water and electrical consumption and wastage in the hotel.

One of the key initiatives implemented gives guests the option of reusing the bed linens and towels. This not only allows guests to customise the housekeeping services to their needs but also reduces water consumption, contributing to a more sustainable future. ​

Ecolab is an organisation that has received numerous accolades such as the Singapore Green Innovation Award given to organisations whose initiatives and innovations are focused on reducing environmental impact, improving resource efficiency and reducing environmental footprint. Ecolab is recognised globally as one of the most engaged companies leading the corporate sustainability initiative.

This partnership between Ecolab and Carlton Hotel Singapore elevates the guest experience and assurance from the guest rooms to the kitchens. Ecolab’s innovative solutions not only guarantee the highest standards of cleanliness but also help Carlton drive operational efficiency and sustainability.

AIRDEFENDER SURFACE COATING HYGIENE IN CARLTON HOTEL SINGAPORE​

We are pleased to announce our latest precautionary measures for the Carlton Hotel Singapore: airDefender® antiviral coating works performed on the premises, utilising technology that inhibits bacteria and virus growth.

Unlike common disinfectants, airDefender® is a long-lasting antibacterial and antiviral coating that kills and blocks 99.9% of germs, viruses, and bacteria. It inhibits bacteria's reproduction on treated surfaces, removes unwanted odours from bacteria, and acts as a surface protector for up to 365 days.

High-touch surfaces within the hotel premises, including all restaurants, the hotel lobby, lifts, and staff areas, have been carefully coated with airDefender® distinctive technology, Quantum-Dot Photocatalyst, which helps eliminate toxic organic matter, viruses, and bacteria.

Recognitions from renowned international bodies include being proven effective against TGEV-Coronavirus by a German-based company, Eurovir Hygiene-Labor GmbH, in April 2020. Furthermore, it is certified as a high-performance quantum-level photocatalyst solution by NASA and has proven effective against H1N1, non-irritating, and non-toxic for human consumption by SGS, the world-acclaimed independent international laboratory. In our "Go Green" approach, the material we selected is not only safe for humans but also for the environment.

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Industry Criteria for Hotels was established to champion the best sustainable tourism practices, focusing on effective sustainability management, mitigating environmental impact, maximising social and economic benefits for the local community, and enriching cultural heritage. 

​BCA GREEN MARK GOLD AWARD

​The BCA Green Mark Scheme is an initiative to create a more sustainable built environment in Singapore by promoting sustainable design, and best practices in construction and operations in buildings. It is a scheme that evaluates buildings for their environmental impact and performance through a comprehensive framework that assesses the overall environmental performance of both new and existing buildings in areas such as energy efficiency, in line with SG Green Plan 2030 to green 80% of Singapore’s building (by Gross Floor Area) by 2030.
